LDJCA Under 12 Cricket Carnival

Our next carnival is in 2020 starting on Tuesday 7th January with the finals on Friday 10th Janaury.

The carnival is played on a mix of turf and synthetic wickets in and around Lismore. Six of the venues are situated alongside or adjacent to each other, close to local amenities. All teams will play six games over the four days in a variety of formats with all 12 players able to bat, bowl or keep wickets in each game. Only 11 fielders will be allowed on the field at any one time. Should teams wish to bring 13 players, the 13th man will be able to substitute as a fielder or wicket keeper, or be used as a runner for an injured player. A reminder that all boys must be under 12 at midnight on August 31 2018, and girls must be under 13 on that date.

 

Lunches will be provided each day for players, coaches and scorers.

A team photograph will be taken on the first morning and distributed to players by the end of the carnival. There will be a short presentation at Oakes Oval after the final on Friday 11th January.

 

The carnival has been a breeding ground for some great past and present representative players including David Warner, Usman Khawaja, Josh Hazelwood, Tom Cooper, Stephen O’Keefe, Peter Forrest, Ben Cutting, John Hastings, Brendan Drew, Matthew Phelps and of course Adam Gilchrist.
